Dangers Of Fluoride Toothpaste

Dangers Of Fluoride Toothpaste

Pearly whites, chompers, grinders, gnashers, fangs, we all have them, some are nicer than others and some have had “work” done to them. But one thing we all have in common is that we brush them two or three times daily, (well, you should) and usually we brush them with toothpaste that contains fluoride.

Fluoride is added to toothpaste to help build strong teeth. It is also added to our drinking water to build strong teeth as well. Great right? Wrong. In actuality fluoride is poison. Years ago fluoride was used as an insecticide and rat poison, and the funny thing about using it to build strong teeth is that it actually does more harm than good.

What is Fluoride?

Believe it or not, fluoride is a byproduct of copper, aluminum and iron manufacturing. But oddly, in the 1930’s one of the largest manufacturers of aluminum “discovered” that fluoride was good for developing healthy teeth and practically eradicated tooth decay.

Wow, what a coincidence huh? So now, instead of having the issue of disposing of this hazardous chemical waste, they can just add it to the water supply and everyone will have brighter, whiter smiles.

Well actually, a study of 39,000 school children in 84 areas around the U.S. showed that there was no significant difference in tooth decay between fluoridated and non-fluoridated water supplies.

Surprisingly, or maybe not so surprisingly, “tooth decay trends tracked by the World Health Organization from 1970 to the present show that the incidence of decayed, missing or filled teeth has been steadily in decline with each passing year in the U.S., France, Germany, Japan, Italy, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Norway, The Netherlands, Northern Ireland, Austria, Belgium, Portugal, Iceland and Greece. And why are the numbers of decayed teeth on the decline? Better oral hygiene and improved dental practice is the most obvious answer. It’s certainly not the fluoride. Because of all of those countries, only one adds fluoride to the public water supply: the United States.” Source Global Health Center.

Some of the above listed countries had put fluoride in the water in the past but knowing the dangers of the chemical stopped, based not only on the dangers of the chemical, but also based on the idea that any “health treatments” people used should be a choice rather than forced upon them whether they want it or not.

So, how is Fluoride bad for you?

Well, if you consume too much, your teeth will actually begin to discolor and decay, not to mention that fluoride helps the brain absorb aluminum, a substance that has been found in most of the brains of Alzheimer”s patients. Other studies have associated fluoride with hip fractures as well as musculoskeletal and nervous system damage, which leads to limited joint mobility, ligament calcification, muscular degeneration and neurological deficits. Oh, and did I mention that fluoride has been linked to 10,000 cancer deaths annually.

Oddly, local, state and federal agencies in The U.S. dismiss these facts and continue to support the baseless ideology that fluoride is good for you. This could be due to the fact that if they admitted they have been poisoning or water supplies for decades there would be huge liability and subsequent lawsuits.

Suggestions? Filter your tap water before drinking it and switch to baking soda toothpaste to keep those pearly whites pearly.
